According to psychologists (and our own experience), family vacations bring a lot of relationship crises. However we decided to take the risk again. Seventeen days together, four people, a dog, one car and about five thousand kilometres ahead of us.
It was the last friday in June and the bell started ringing on 3am. With sleepy eyes, we were putting the last bits to our lugages. A half and hour later, the car is stuffed to burst, the dog is impatiently waiting in the hall and dad is (traditionally like every other year) sitting at a computer, downloading music to his flash disk ...

It was like 13584568°C there. So when we arrived to the apartment, we were running to the shower immediately. Dad entered the shower, slipped, he trapped his leg between the water pipes, demolished his fingernail .... and for the rest of the week he wasn't able to walk properly (altough he planned to start running and lose 10 kg during the holiday)

In the afternoon we arrived to serbian spa town Niška Banja, where we stayed overnight. It's exactly 1000 km from Prostějov. Spa in Niška Banja is the most popular spa in Serbia and they're known for their hot radioactive water. They help with rheumatic pain, orthopedic problems and they help to figh cellulite as well. People bathe not only in the spa, but also in a park in the middle of the town.
The apartment owner was very kind, he offered us a "welcome drink" - coffee and a juice, that ended spiled on the floor, when Gary (owner's dog) started playing our Tedy (which was quite funny because Teddy was too afraid of the 8month old puppy and he was just hidding under the table all the time).
In the evening, we went for a short walk and stopped to buy Mekike (serbian speciality - fried sweet pastry with chocolate or jam).

Altough the second part of the journey was shorter, at the end it was about 2 hours longer, because we got stuck in a column at the border of Macedonia. They didn't even want to see our passports, look into the trunk and they didn't check our dog's papers ... however we spent quite a lot of time there.
Hungarian custom officers were checking trunks in all the csrs (as always), in Serbia, the traditionally wanted to see our car green card and Macedonias and Greeks just waves at us from the window and told us to continues (as always). In comparison to previous years, we notices there were less beggars and unwanted car window-cleaners.
We arrived to Faros Aparments in Mytikas at about 8 o'clock in the evening. It was 42°C outside, we were tired and we all had a little headache from the air conditioning in the car ... but it was all worth it. When we stepped out of the car, we smelled the sea salt and cypress in the wet air, and saw the sun, slowly falling asleep in the waves. Just like on the kitsch postcards you can buy in the souvenir shops.
