MONTENEGRO - Part 1: Bosnia Rafting, Ada Bojana, Valdanos

This years planning lead to holiday on the border between Montenegro and Albania. We went by car as always and we spend the first night in raft camp in Bosnia. It was okay jsut for sleeping, altough the camp was just starting, because the "bathroom" was not really completed and the bed frames fell from the bunk in our cottage. Enough for one night sleeping ...

In the morning we were suposed to continue riding and going to Montenegro, but my dad decided we need to try rafting. Together with the camp operators we went to the border, to Monenegro (about an hour spent in stacked cross-country car), where our track started. We were rafting on Tara river, that together with the Piva river becomes Drina. The water was perfectly clear so you could drink it and there was wonderful nature all around us, also with the people from the camp it was quite fun, because they were talking and making jokes all the time, doing craps and all of that in bosnian, so we understood about every tenth sentence. Overall it was an amazing experience I hope you'll get too one day :)

After rafting we packed our things and we went to to Ulcinj Riviera in Montenegro. We stayed on Ada (= island in turkish) Bojana island, created by a river delta of  the Bojana river. We arrived in the evening so we stayed in our apartments, my brother and dad (unsuccessfuly) tried to fish and went to the beach in the morning. Just few minutes by car from our aparment there was a free beach for kite surfing. Surfers started to appear on the beach after noon so in the morning the beach was incredibly calm and there was much better atmosphere than on the paid beaches crowded by people and umbrellas. And also no czech trippes, only Germans, Russians or Montenegrins, so you could comment their space-dimensional figures and weird language.

One evening we went to see the sunset on Valdanos beach. We were there almost alone, with the sun falling into the sea ... #romantic
I feel like the time is running differently in the Balkans, people don't care about what hour is it, you wake up when you want to, go out when you want to, eat when you want to ... It's much more relaxing than hasty life in other cities, on the other side talking about eating their amazing fresh pastry and overeating sweets at ten o'clock in the night wouldn't be the great if done for a long time :D

Montenegro has an amazing nature, beautiful and clear sea (if you're not just on crowded city beach), but the rest of the cities is a disaster. They throw the garbage on the ground, to the flowerpots behind of the mall, there are plastic bottles lying on the beach and in every shop, they give you milions of crappy thin plactic bags (which lay all around in front of the shop of course) instead of some big paper bags.

We loved the kite surfing beach the most but we also visited some of the paid beaches. One of them was a beach around the Bojana estuary. The "main" part of the beach was crowded, there was very loud music playing in the bar, so it was almost impossible to hear what the waiter tells you (he wasn't really good in English so it was hard to understand it from more reasons), but if you went to the end of the beach, you could enjoy the view of river estuary to the sea, for example from the restaurant with perfect pizza on your plate.
