Italy? Camp? With travel agency? We've really reduced our requirements. Compared to our previous vacations in apartments with sea view, almost private pool and beach with no people ... it was quite a difference. We've never traveled with agency before, so we were not only afraid of the place but also of the animation programs, screaming kids etc. ... But it all ended up differently than we both expected.
The weater was making fun of us. One day it was hot, sun was shinning and the beach was crowded. The next day clouds came, it was very windy, there were big waves in the sea and on the beach there were just few brave ones - the two of us, a Norwegian family and a lifeguard with nylon jacket with McDonald's logo.
During the days we went to the sea and in the evening we always went for a walk around the town - the "town" basically consisted of one church, a park, Vietnamese clothes shop, kiosks with trashy bracelets and, small grocery stores and a lot of ice-cream shops, pizzerias and fish restaurants. However we went there every day and every time we tried some new delicious food. Pizza. Ice cream. Crepes. Desserts. Coffee. Boxes and packs of cookies ... I was pretty suprised by the amoung of types of cookies and cheese but also by the amount of plant-based foods in the shops. You could buy soy ice cream, yogurts and many types of plant-based milk even in the smallest grocery store. (But we were eating the italian dairy specialities all the time anyway)

We were afraid that the animators will do some embarassing performances and activites for kids and that there won't be a moment of peace in the camp ... But in the end we went to watch their program every day - at ten o'clock in the morning they were greeting people comming to the beach. Buon Giorno! Ciao! Then they were doing some workouts in the water, they were dancing on the beach, doing some activites for kids, playing petanque, volleyball ... Then they said Buon Apetito! to people on the beach and the Italians and most of the other tourists went for a lunch. From one to four o'clock the whole city had siesta. People eat lunch, rest and take a nap. Most of the shops are closed and most of the people are not working. We usually came back to the beach before the siesta ended so we could enjoy the beautiful calm on the beach during those hours.
In the afternoon, there was Zumba a hydrobikes class in the swimming pool. We were usually on the beach that time but in the evening we always went to watch the "mini disco". The animators were dancing on the stage and the kids were dancing with them under the stage. After that, they had some performance every day - a cabaret, a musical ... If someone would tell me that I will watch this voluntarily - animation program in a language I don't understand a world in - I would believe it. But they were so amazing! I don't understand where they got all the energy from.
