I spent the last week of summer holiday in Poland with my family. After we came home, we recieved an "amazing surprise" - the card with all of our photos didn't work. We were afraid that we're not gonna have any memory from the vacation ... but it turned out well so I can finally show some of the photos to you on this blog too :)
Our first accomodation (booked on Booking.com) was in Dąbki, by the Bukowo lake. We were looking forward to have a bbq and a walk to the lake ... Impossible task! The mosquitos invasion started around the sunset and we were glad we can make an instant soup and connect to the wi-fi.
Monday was a bit colder so we went for a trip to Kolobrzeg. It's a city full of german seniors who enjoy polish low prices, a city full of cruisers, kiosks with traditional polish gofry (waffles), zapiekanky (baked baguettes with ketchup, cheese and other ingredients), ice cream and some trashy souvenirs. We went for a cruise for about 25PLN/person altough we were afraid that we'll vomit when we saw the cruise bobbing on the waves. Anyway we and the other (german and some muslim) tourists survived.
After few days we moved from Dąbky to Chlapowo for our second accomodation. We stayed in mobilhomes which were tiny but they were few minutes walk from one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen - white sand, beautiful blue sea, hills and tress all around ... Polish beaches and the Baltic sea overall is somehow extraordinary, magical.

At the tip of the Polish scythe, there's the city of Hel. We visited it seven years ago when we were in Poland for the first time. What I liked there this time, were the bicycle paths along all the roads and along the coast. I don't like cycling at all, but I would definitely say yes to a ride like this !
