4 Tips For Increasing Productivity

If people get diplomas for complaining about lack of time, I would definitely get one. I have days when I don't know what to do and I'm just lazy all day long. The other days I don't know what to do first, I'm in a rush and I'm angry that the day doesn't have more hours. And with the beginning of the school year, everyhting gets even worse and worse ... In this post, you're gonna find few things which helps me with time-managements and which decrease wasting the time with craps :)

Find your best daily program

We all have different regime which suits us. Some people like to wake up early to start their day actively. Other people like to sleep in so they get more energy for the day and they rather work in the evening. The person who need those few minutes of hours in the morning shouldn't force himself/herself to wake up at 5am.
I'm rather the early bird. I can't stay up late, I'm tired pretty early and I usually don't mind waking up early in the morning (altough during the school week, it's a bit harder). I like that because in the early morning, when everyone else in the apartment is asleep, I can do my stuff at rest - meditate, do yoga, read a book, do a homework ...

Turn of the notifications

What helped me a lot, was turning off all the app notifications on my phone - facebook, messenger, instagram ... When you constantly see things like "xy liked your photo", "xy changes his/her profile picture" etc., you get distracted easily. During those few hours (or days) you won't miss anything important. If something imporant happens in the world, other people will tell you, if someone has something urgent to tell you, they will call you ...

Plan watching the TV

Television is one of the best time killers. When I'll live alone, I won't buy a TV at all. You can watch movies, videos and TV shows on the internet. I usually watch TV just "in the background". When I don't know what to do (or I don't want to do something), I turn on tv, check all the channels, watch a bit of new, a bit of some soap opera, few songs on music channel ... and an hour (or more) is gone. If you watch some TV show regularly, plan it ahead - but don't turn on the TV while you're doing something else. If you don't spend your time watching TV, try to do the same with watching TV shows on the Internet, Youtube videos or scrolling though the Facebook wall up and down.

Make your own journal

Until this year I used to buy journals in stationery. Suddenly the place is swarming with all kinds of journals - Happy planner, kikki.K, ... I think these journals are pretty expensive (however practicaly they're awesome) so I've decided to create my own. It takes some time but I would recommend everyone to try that. You can find a lot of inspiration and a lot of patterns on the internet, you can create the pages by drawing it or create them in a graphic program ... You can make a list of important dates (birthdays, name days etc.), bucket lists, a list of books you wanna read, daily to-do lists, weekly/monthly overviews, food diary ... The journal not only helps to organize your time but also motivates you to do certain activities and so increases your overal productivity :)

What helps you to be active? Do you deal with procrastination like me?
