Ultimate Guide to Essential Oils

Treatment through scents is not only simple and feels great but it's also very effective! Through specific mixtures of essential oils you can treat flu, cold, you can get rid of stress, give your body a lot of energy and give your mind a relaxing break :)


Usage
There are many ways to use the essential oils - you can use aromalamp, you can add it to homemade cosmetics - creams, shampoos, toothpaste ... Some of the oils can be used directly on your skin and some of them are even edible (for example the grapefruit seeds oil). 

I use the oils almost every day. When I catch a cold, I put few drops of the essential oils into a small bowl with hot water. At night I add a bit of  lavander into a vaporizer for better sleep. Sometimes I also drip few drops of some relaxing oil on my wrists when I have an important task or event and I feel stressed. For my skin, I use tea tree oil (for pimples and herpes), rose hip oil and grapefruit seeds oil. I'm absolutely excited about these two. They perfectly whitens scars, heals, nourishes and softens the skin. 

How to choose aroma lamp & the oils
There are many types of lamps and you should choose the lamp mainly according to the size of the room you want to infuse. You won't be able to smell anything if you buy a tiny lamp for a large room. Also it's imporant to always choose a lamp with large enough bowl for the water. The tea candle's burning time is several hours so if your bowl is too small, the water vaporizes faster than the candle stops burning and the rest of the essential oil burns. 

Where to buy the essential oils? You can get them in health stores and many specialized eshops. Don't buy the cheapest oils, because their quality is really low and they won't provide you with the properties you aim for. Always buy the oils which are 100% natural, even if they're a bit more expensive than the others.


Illness
  • Grapefruit - increases immunity
  • Oregano - increases immunity, relieves sinus congestion
  • Mint- treats cold, relieves sinus infection
  • Eucalyptus- relieves sinus infection, treats cold and asthma

For calm & stress relief
  • Lavander - helps to get rid of anxiety, stress, improves sleep and reduce insomnia
  • Vetiver - calms, induce a feeling of safety
  • Bergamot - relieves stress and depression
  • Chamomile - great for inner peace, improves sleep
  • Frankincense - helps to get rid of depression and anxiety, calms mind
  • Ylang Ylang - increases optimism and boosts mood
  • Lemon - detoxifies organism, boosts mood

For beautiful skim
  • Lavander - soothes irritated skin
  • Grapefruit - helps to reduce antibacterial , it has antibacterial properties, it's great for treating acne 
  • Šípek - smoothes wrinkles, lightens scars and softens skin
  • Bazalka - soothes insect bites
  • Frankincense - helps with problems of pigmentation, strenghtens skin
  • Ylang Ylang - perfect for oily and acne prone skin, increases cell growth 
  • Tea Tree- antibacterial properties, dries pimples and herpes
  • Chamomile - soothes sensitive skin, treats acne and eczema 
  • Geranium - balances oil production

For detox
(Add 2-3 drops of essential oil into a glass of water. Please read the instructions on the bottle to make sure that the oil is suitable for internal use)
  • Lemon - detoxifies body, removes fat from the cells
  • Grapefruit - provides body with energy, improves immunity, speeds up metabolism 
  • Mandarine - control cravings
  • Mint - control cravings, helps with migraines
