3 Useful Tips for Surviving Summer Music Festival

My head has gone on holidays and I'm not able to make up some intelligent topic to write about. However on Friday I went to music festival and I discovered few things which can help you if you're planning to go to a conert/festival (especially if you're going there for the first time) :)

The holiday started just a week ago but I feel like I have more memories than I usually have in the middle of summer ...

  • I've seen my ninety years old grandpa riding a horse during his birthday party
  • Now I know that when you eat too much grilled vegetables, you feel like if you were going to burst (or was it because of the waffles ?)
  • During the concert of KAMP! I realized that I'm probably not yet over the time of the platonic love for singers
  • On Saturday I finally met Anie and Lukáš in Brno - it was an amazing evening, we were laughing a lot and due to them I realized that if I'll have the opportunity, I'm rather going to travel than chase the degrees at university ...
  • Also I realized that I don't really want to live with a foreigner in a different counry for the rest of my life - nobody would understand our czech ironic humor! So I wanna live abroad but with czech husband!
But now let's finally look at those tips !

On Friday I went to Fingers Up music festival. I haven't been to many festivals so I never know what to take with me - and so I take milions of things I won't need at all. And I forget those I need at home! So my tips are:
(note: these tips are for people who are going for one-day long event. If you stay overnight, you can take anything you want with you and leave it in a tent ...)
  • Take a lot of money with you and don't bring your own food! You'l probably have to throw it away by the enterance ... and that's a waste of money. On the other hand, if you hide it smratly, maybe you'll be able to sneak it inside.
  • If you don't want to sit all day/night long and just watch it from the distance - don't take blanket with you. You're going to hold it all the time and it will just annoy you. Anyway you'll probably dance most of the time and if you'll want to relax for a while, there are usually some "relax zones" on the festivals or you can just sit on a grass for once.
  • The best thing you can bring to a festival is a shirt! When it's hot, you can tie it around your waist(it looks like a part of your outfit while sweatshirt would look just bad) or on your bag and when it gets colder, you can put it on. Choose some dark colour of the shirt so it won't get dirty and so you can sit on it if you don't want to sit on a grass (you don't need a blanket!). Recap: It looks awesome around your waist, you can sit on it during the day and it will warm you up at night. Three in one!
