Week Honesty Challenge

It's Christmas. For me this time is not only about food, gifts and visiting the relatives. It's also about
concluding everything that happened during the year and starting a new chapter of our lifes. During Christmas, we should solve all the conflicts, misunderstandings and fights so we can start the new year with a clear conscience.

It's funny. Saying what we think and doing what we say should be the most natural and the easiest thing in the world. But it's not. Telling the truth is very difficult sometimes and even when we speak honestly, we just imply and do not say the whole truh, because we're afraid to express our thoughts and feelings. And that's when the misunderstanding appears. Poeple often have a fight or stop the communication because of something that happened in the past and they didn't solve it. One person think that the other thinks something ... and these assumptions lead to people breaking up, losing touch and feeling awkward everytime they meet. If everyone says exactly what he thinks, everything is easier and we would avoid these kind of unpleasant situations.

So let's create a challenge this Christmas. Let's try to be honest in every situation when it's possible. You don't have to say the truth that hurts someone. White lie or concealment of pretty ugly truth is not a sin, but usually you don't have to lie. Saying yes, when you want to say no, pretending that you're fine when you're broken inside, acting like nothing's going on when you have unresolved conflicts with people around you ...

“If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.” - Mark Twain

Merry Christmas :)
