Magical Mudras for Healing

Our hands are important parts of our body - not only because we can touch, hold and carry things with them ... But also because they're connected to the rest of our body and just by pressing specific fingers together, we can heal an ilness that's happening in a different part of our body. This finger connection is called mudra and it works on the principle of balancing the elements in our body.

Elements imbalance in our body can be manifested variously. Every ilness is an imbalance of something inside. No matter if you're cold, stressed or you suffer from skin problems ... all health problems are caused by disharmony in our body.

You can practise mudras anywhere - when you're sitting in a bus, watching TV,  meditating ... You should perform the with both hands. Some mudras have to be held for longer time, but it's usually enough to hold them for 15 minutes.

Gyan mudra is probably the most famous mudra - you can see people holding this mudra in almost all pictures of meditation. This mudra increases concentration during the meditation but also during working, reading or studying. It calms body and minds after a long day and works against insomnia. It helps in the moments when you don't feel like doing anything, when you lack enthusiasm and creativity. It also helps physically - it regulates blood pressure, improves functioning of the nervous system and helps against migraines.

Surya mudra has two main positive effects, First - it helps against cold because it keeps heat in our body and second - it speeds up the metabolism so it aids in weight loss (but of course it doesn't mean that you can eat whatever you want, lie in your bed all days and then hold your mudra and you're gonna lose ten kilos ! :D)

Shuni mudra increases compassion, understanding and patience towards others. It can also transform negative thoughts and emotions into positive ones. Thus mudra is great fot the moments when you're feeling impatient and you need to calm down - for example if you're waiting in doctor's waiting room, at the bus stop or when you're waiting for someone for ages.

This energy flows in humans, animals, plants, in music, in light ...  The pure energy get into our body and leaves our body "enriched" with all our positive or energy emotions and thoughts. Prana mudra "charge the battery" of your body.  It slows the aging process, improves imunity and reduce tensions and cramps. It's also related to positive effects on eyes - it's said that Prana mudra can even reduce the number of spects.

It prevents from drying and cracking, it crues eczema, acne and other skin diseases. It gives your skin glow. Varun mudra purifies bloog and helps to cure kidney and bladder diseases, reduce joins pain, cures arthritis and improves digestion.

Apan mudra purify whole body and removes toxines. It strenghtens internal organs and cures bladder diseases. It strenghtens teeth and helps with eye diseases like Prana mudra.

Linga mudra keeps our body warm. Try this mudra wherever you feel cold. Linga mudra also aids in weight loss, strenghtens imune system and so the body is resistant to cold, flu etc.
