In this post, I'd like to show you my little guide to self-love yoga - a tutorial to make a beautiful loving atmosphere inside yourself and outside as well - with help of yoga, meditation, healing crystals, aromatheraphy and music :)

3 Easy Meditation Techniques

Meditation doesn't have to be difficult. You don't have to sit in a lotus pose for hours, listen to indian music and use complicated techniques to calm down your body and mind. The three techniques I'm gonna show you today will take you just few minutes. You can practise them on your way to school in a bus, in your bed before you go to sleep or whenever you need a moment to relax.

5 koshas

Do you remember the scene from Shrek, where Shrek explains to the donkey, that ogres are like onions? According to yoga philosoph, people are quite like onions too. There are four other layers except the layer of our physical body. They're called koshas and each one of them controls a different area of our life - our thoughts, emotions or the ability to feel joy without any outer reason ...

Learn How to Breathe

Since the very first moment of our life, we've known how to breathe. Nobody had to explain us how to do so. We just knew. But as the time passes, we often lose the natural abilities we used to have. We forgot how to be feel happy because of the little things around us, we forget how to communicate naturally and create relationships. The same thing is happening to the breathing - we forgot how to breathe naturally. We either push our breath over the natural limits or we're not able use the full capacity of our lungs. The right breahting techniques can help us to calm down our body and our mind, to get rid of stress, fatigues as well as headaches :)

Yoga of Laugh

27 yoga poses, 54 pages of study material, 26 pages of notes and 6 beautiful days full of joy, laugh, amazing people and a positive energy. That's how I'd describe the Neo Yin Yoga course with Deep Kumar.

How To Start Meditating

Few years ago I used to think that meditation is only for Buddhist monks in Himalayas. Now, when someone says meditation, I imagine myself sitting on the bed with my headphones on, enjoying my little moment of peace and relaxation. How I started with meditation and what are my tips for beginners?

Ostrava Yoga & Dance Festival

"Try not to stay on the surface, but get deeper."

"Breath in. Do it before you die if possible."

"You can't touch the ground? And who cares?"

... That's what yoga festival in Ostrava was like.

From Ballet, Through Boxing to oga

I've never been a "sport type". While other girls were training for their Latino dancing or aerobics competitions, I was lying in my bed reading books or watching movies. Well, I admit I'm pretty lazy. But my parents didn't want me to just roll around and they wanted me to find a sport that I'll enjoy. But that was pretty tough. I fall in love with anything very easily but I don't often stick to it for long.

Magical Mudras for Healing

Our hands are important parts of our body - not only because we can touch, hold and carry things with them ... But also because they're connected to the rest of our body and just by pressing specific fingers together, we can heal an ilness that's happening in a different part of our body. This finger connection is called mudra and it works on the principle of balancing the elements in our body.

Why Should You Stand On Your Head (And How To Do It)

I believe that all of you have some activity that is somehow special for you. Something that you enjoy everytime you come back to it, something that always lifts up you mood, something that means a lot to you ... For me, this activity is yoga. And it's even better when it's done upside down.

Heat for Health - Why You Should Take Hot Yoga Class

Working out when it's 40°C ? Voluntarily ? It's not so long time ago since I thougt I could never do that. But the last week I decided to outdo myself and I went to my first bikram yoga class. I was leaving sweating, I was exhaused - but at the same time I felt enthusiastic and excited for the next time I'll visit the studio again.

WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT?
Bikram (hot) yoga is practised in a room heated for 38–42°C. This temperature facilitates stretching your muscles, increases calories burning and it has a lot of other pisitive health benefits. The exercises are the same every time so you're becomming better and better with every class you take. The whole class consists of 26 poses (asanas) and 2 breathing exercises. One pose prepares your body for the next one. The class begins with breathing exercise followed by series of stretching, balancing and strenghtening poses.
