Are your bored? Do you have many things to do but instead you spend the time scrolling facebook and watching TV? Motivation is the driving force of our lives. We need it every day to work effectively, to learn and to feel that what we're doing makes sense. We all have those days sometimes, when we don't want to do anything, we feel exhausted physically and mentally and we need something to boost our life energy on all levels. And that's exactly the reason to start your own motivational journal!
Journaling is well known therapeutic method. Sometimes it's much easier to put your thought on a paper than to analyze them inside of your mind. Sometimes when you write down a list of your worries and troubles, you may realize that most of them are not as tragic and hopeless as you thought. And also you realize that most of these problems are just an illusion, created by our own mind.

Currently I write two journals - a motivational journal and a journal where I just write the my everyday thoughts and feelings. Today I'd like to focus on the motivational journal. What to write there and how to start?
Let's begin ...
The first step is finding the right journal for you. Buy a nice notebook that you'll love to bring with yourself anywhere you go. You can find beautiful notebooks in every supermarket, stationary shops or on the Internet.
Another step - photos, pictures, markers and washi tapes. You may find a lot of inspiration on pinterest, I usually go there to find something new I could add into my journal, I download and print the photos and quotes I find there ... Washi tapes are not essential but they can turn a journal into a piece of art. You can buy many types of cheap washi tapes on sites like ebay, aliexpress or amazon.
Inspiration
So, what to put into your journal? Here is an inspiration for all the pages I have in my journal (and the pages I'm planning to add) :)Health
- You goal & motivation - why do you want to exercise and eat clean? What are you goals? What inspires you to reach them? Maybe you want to be less ill, have more energy, increase your confidence, make yourself proud ... ?
- Healthier alternatives - if you have cravings sometimes (I have them basically all the time), write down tips for healthy snacks and dessert you may eat and not feel guilty for hurting your body (again you may find a lot of inspiration on pinterest)
- Vitamins, calories ... - do you count calories or macros? Do you want to increase the amount of vitamins and minerals you get in your diet? Write down a list of foods that contain all the nutrients and vitamins you want to add into your daily diet plan
- Achievements - create a page where you are going to write down all the reached goals and the progress you made - your weight, how many days you are sugar/gluten/fast-food free or describe an intense workout you finished and you feel proud of yourself because of that
Hobbies
- Yoga - your motivation to do yoga, poses you'd liek to learn ....
- Books - make a list of books you've read / you want to read
- Traveling - what places you want to visit? Where have you been? Create a map of the places you visited, add photos, write down your traveling goals and memories ...
- Music - which songs boost your mood every time you listen to them ? Which songs remind you of beautiful memories in your life?
Life motivation
- Goals - what are your long-term and short-term goals? Why do you want to achieve them? If you give a date and a reason to every single dream you have, it becomes a goal which is more likely to be reached
- Memories - when you feel like your life is boring and sad, it's great to think of all the good things you experienced in past. Memories from traveling, memories with your friends and family, reached goals ... When I read my list, I always realize that I actually have pretty awesome life!
- Gratitude diary - what are the things you feel grateful for in your life? It's easy to complain and to find things which are not perfect in our life. But we forget to be grateful for the things we do have. For our friends, family, for every morning we wake up alive, healthy and ready for another life adventure
- Things which make you happy - make a list of all the little things which make you smile and make you feel happy for no particular reason. Waking up at sunrise, drinking wine with friends in your favourite café, long walks in nature, watching old movies, hugging your pets, or the great feeling you get when you come back home, you take off your shoes, tight jeans, bra ...
- "I can change the world" - a part of my journal is dedicated to veganism and ethical way of living. Do you want to contribute to the world well being? There are many ways to do it - by limiting your consumption of animal products, walking more than going by car, using less plastic bags ...
- Habits - what habits would you like to acquire? Working out? Going into nature more often? Read more books? Create a table of habits and make a check mark for every day your were successful

Our life is in our hands. We can reach literally any goal we create, even though it may slook impossible in the beginning. Every day we have an opportunity to start again, to give meaning to every moment of our life, so we can go to bed with a feeling that we get a little step closer to our big dream :)
