Youtube channel AwakenWithJP released a video about sentences which vegans often say. But what about the craps which meateaters say all the time? People who have been eating meat since their childhood have some thoughts in their head which they can't get rid of and they often don't have enough information about plant-based diet ...

1. Where do you get your protein?
Oh god. This sentence is such a cliché. However a lot of people still live in an illusion, that protein is found only in animal products. Plant-based diet offers protein in all kinds of legumes, soy products and it's alsou found in some vegetables and grains. Some studies actually show that there's a very low chance of suffering from protein defficiency. Usually it's a defficiency of some other nutriens or just overall low food intake.
2. Vegetarians can eat fish
I have no idea where did that came from, but a lot of people really think that vegetarians can eat fish. No, vegetarians don't eat fish. Fish is an animal and vegetarians eat no animals including fish.
3. Human is an omnivore and has to eat meat
Human is an omnivore, which means that we are able to digest plants as well as animal products. It doesn't mean that we NEED to consume both. Besides the health reasons there's also this question - why should we kill animals and take lifes of creatures who want to live, if we can get all the nutriens from plants? Do we really have to be so selfish?
4. There aren't enough plants to feed the world
Many times I heard that all people couldn't addopt plant-based diet, because we wouldn't have enough plants to feed the world. But what do you think that factory farm animals eat? Cows no longer graze on grass on a meadow. They're usually fed with genetically modified soy or corn, which helps then to grow faster (and be killed sooner). If you eat meat, you eat kind of second hand food. Instead of eating plants you give the plants to the animals and then you eat those animals. The irony is that a big part of the grains for industrial animals are grown in countries, where people are starving - because it's more cost-effective to sell the crops than feeding the people there! So if everyone became vegan, it would actually solve the world hunger problem.

5. Veganism is a trend
Veganism is a lifestyle and a philosophy. It's not about being popular or different than others. The main idea of veganism is to give freedom to animals and end the process of suffering just because of our pleasure. Some meateaters think that veganism is just a trend and that it won't last. I don't think so. There are definitely more vegans and vegetarians than before but I think it's because the world's changing and the people and their mindsets are chaning too. I think that the Internet affects us a lot, because people can get the information about plant-based diet, which they couldn't get before. Besides the Internet I also think - and that's kind of spiritual thing .. - that the year 2012 really changed something in this world. People no longer want to close eyes to the injustice that's happening, they don't want to support the needless cruelty and they try to change the world for the better ...
