Why Don't We Eat Cat Meat

Is it possible to thrive on compeletely plant-based diet, without eating any meat and other animal products? How many of us can imagine eating no ice cream, cheese or chicken nuggets anymore? And once you decide to go for it ... how to do it ?
Last month I created a questionnaire which got about 1200 respondents in just three days. If you're interested in how many animal products "ordinary" people consume, how they percieve the killing of animals and how much information they (don't) know about the story behind their food ... then keep reading! :)

The Story Behind Your Plate

As Stalin said, "The death of man is a a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistics." This makes sense not only for people. We look at the animals the same way. When we read a story about someone who abused and killed a puppy or a cat, we're upset, we call those people bastards and we wish them to experience the sae horrors like those their pets went through ... But many of these people complain about these things while eating a hamburger or chicken nuggets. They feel sorry for animals we consider as "pets" while they're eating flesh of another's dead animal. But... food industry animals do not have any life story ... Or do they?

What Meateaters Say (And Why They're Wrong) #2

“Animals are my friends...and I don't eat my friends.”
― George Bernard Shaw
It's natural
In prehistory, it was natural for people to kill a mamoth, eat the meat and make a coat from its fur. But we're not living in the prehistory anymore. We live in modern civilization, we have central heating and electricity in our houses and we can buy any kind of food in a supermarket anytime. Things which were natural in past can't be compared with the "naturalness" today. If we'd really like to live naturally, we would have to give up electricity, cosmetics, lights in our apartments etc. Because that's not "natural" too. And if we'd come back to the real beginning we'd have to live in stone hut where we'd use just fire for heating and lighting and eat just some berries ... Some peoples still live like this nowadays but the majority is not into this lifestyle. So talking about "nature" in terms of eating meat, is quite meaningless.
